Energy and cost savings results shown are based on a typical existing two-story home, with a window to wall ratio of 20% on all exposures, 2 foot (60 cm) exterior overhangs shading all windows, with film installed on all elevations.
The lower the Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC), the less solar heat is transmitted. The SHGC (or g-value) is the fraction of incident solar radiation that passes through a window. SHGC is expressed as a number between 0 and 1.
