Hower House is a 19th-century Victorian mansion which became a museum under the care of The University of Akron. The building is a historical treasure not only because of its architecture, but also because of its original furnishings and décor. About 30 years ago, caretakers noticed that some interior finishes were beginning to show signs of fading.
